“Island Eats, an incoming renewable dining pilot program, announced in a press release it is partnering with five Martha’s Vineyard restaurants to provide takeout bowls made up of 75 percent recycled stainless steel starting this summer.“

“The vast majority of restaurant takeout containers end up in landfills or worse, as litter. A Martha's Vineyard woman is hoping to cut down on these single-use containers with a program that links customers to restaurants offering food in reusable bowls. CAI's Kathryn Eident talked with founder Jessica Mason to learn more about what she hopes to accomplish.”

“On May 14 a new Island-based initiative will launch with the goal of reducing trash generated by takeout food containers… Every bowl will prevent thousands of single-use containers from ending up in the landfill, an announcement about the new initiative said.”
